Umm, yeah. My head knows I shouldn't feel this way, but I can't help it. I am so fortunate to have the people I have in my life. I have the most wonderful, supportive, and caring friends and family, and some people are not as lucky as I. SO why isn't that enough? I'm on this island today, so distant from all others. And though this is a sentiment I have had buried for such a long time and it is finally bubbling to the surface now, adding a weight to my heart, an ache to my stomach, a cloud of dust in my lungs, a salty sting to my eyes. This needs to stop. I need a drink.
